The Hon. Dave Prodger, British Consul-General to Miami, was the guest of honor at a reception hosted by William Eubanks and Ben Stein at their historic El Cid home. Guests mingled amongst beautiful art and enjoyed conversation with Britain’s top diplomat in Florida, while also learning more about American Friends of British Art and the Ambassador’s Circle events being hosted in the coming season.
Findlay Galleries on Worth Avenue generously hosted a cocktail reception in their stunning gallery to honor Her Grace The Duchess of Rutland, and to celebrate American Friends of British Art. This special event began with a warm welcome by the gallery’s owner, James Borynack. Attendees learned about the upcoming Country House & Garden Tour organized by American Friends of British Art, which will include a stay at Belvoir Castle with the Duke and Duchess of Rutland.
The 6th Annual Lecture & Luncheon for American Friends of British Art was held on January 14, 2017 at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach. The guest speaker was the Marchioness Townshend, who presented “One Room at Raynham”. Lady Townshend’s fascinating talk highlighted the transition that she and her husband, the Marquis Townshend, have experienced upon moving into their 17th century ancestral home, Raynham Hall. Particular focus was given to the house’s extensive art collection. The Hon. Dave Prodger, British Consul-General to Miami, also addressed attendees and welcomed them to the event.
