The Worth Avenue showroom of William R. Eubanks Interior Design served as the elegant backdrop for a reception hosted recently honoring The Marquess Townshend and benefitting American Friends of British Art. Loyal AFBA supporters from as faw away as New York and Washington were in attendance to help AFBA raise funds and to help celebrate the 8th year since AFBA’s founding. The event was themed “Raj” and featured exotic hors d’oeuvres and Anglo-Indian inspired designs, which entertained the nearly 90 guests who were in attendance.
In collaboration with the 2010 Palm Beach Jewelry, Art & Antique Show, American Friends of British Art brought over The Right Honourable Lord Raynham to present a lecture titled, “The Townshends: An English Noble Family and Their Art”, followed by a tea party for AFBA supporters. The event’s main sponsor was U.S. Trust/Bank of America Private Wealth Division, and junior sponsors were Smith & Moore Architects, and South Florida Financial Services. The event’s Design Sponsor was William R. Eubanks Interior Design, and Media Sponsor was PALM BEACH THE ISLAND magazine. Photos by Lucien Capehart Photography.
