Our Patron

Viscount Raynham is the eldest son and heir to the 7th Marquess of Norfolk. Hailing from one of Britain’s oldest aristocratic families, Lord Charles Townshend is internationally known as an advocate for historic preservation in England.  In a 2006 BBC documentary titled, “A Passion for Churches,” his efforts to restore an historic chapel inspired individuals the world-over, while educating people on the vast resources necessary to maintain England’s historic treasures. Viscount Raynham’s efforts were a catalyst for the founding of American Friends of British Art, and we are both proud and grateful for his guidance and Patronage.
